We make trunks of different sizes and materials. From fur trade trunks with only a painted surface and forged hardware to skin and hair covered trunks. The sizes range from a small document size trunk to a large travelling or storage type trunk. Prices start at approximately $125.00 and increase depending on the size and type of trunk desired. A very large trunk will require generally the entire skin of an animal and sometimes depending on decoration 1400 or more tacks. So it does take some time. We rabbit the joints. We are now using paper to line the trunks with and the design on the paper is done by hand with antique stamps. Locks are inlet into the front of the larger trunks for security of its contents. We would expect to discuss the size, design, and purchase of a trunk with the customer several times before construction would begin. Our wallets are made using either vegetable tan leather or with oil tan cowhide. Designs can be placed on the front of the wallet such as pinwheel s or such and this is done for no extra charge. The price of the wallet is $15.00 and three dollars for shipping.
