Our haversacks are made using many different materials and patterns. We do them with either a scalloped edge, round edge or a simple straight edge. A basic haversack with a flat or straight edge in a size approx. 14" by 15" with a non-adjustable strap in cotton canvas is $15.00 ppd., heavy hemp $30.00. We can also line our haversacks with muslin or another similar fabric but this adds approximately $5.00 to the cost. We also use floral fabrics similar to Gentleman's weskits and these run $30.00. A leather adjustable strap can be used instead of our normal straps, this adds approximately $12.00 to cost of the haversack. The leather straps includes a period correct brass buckle with iron tongue or a handforged buckle. We use commonly use Pewter or Brass buttons and occasionally Antler or Horn buttons. Our haversacks can be custom made based on the customer's wants or needs. Even though a haversack is a fairly basic item, we still like to discuss them with the customer so we get to know their persona and what they are looking for or where they would have been. It can influence the fabrics, buttons or straps used for the haversack. Our bags are one of a kind bags no two will ever be alike. Two bags maybe cut from the same hide but will be different.
