E-mail message, dated February 22, 2002 (JAAFlatt@aol.com):
Mr. Francis:
Hi, it's me again. I was looking at the Cantrill info (I guess it was written by you, I see a will that was transcribed by you of Gustavus Pugh, but could not found a name of the information I printed out.
This information has Mary Cantrill (1805-1868) marrying Jacob Keller and they had one child, John Cantrill (1828-1867). Actually they had three children. Abraham born ca 1825 and died January 25, 1908 near Centerville, Bourbon Co. KY and buried in Jacksonville cemetery per obit that appeared in Terrell paper (stated Abe Keller was the uncle of Joe H. Keller).; John C. Keller (thanks for info that it was Cantrill), 1828; and Mary Louise Keller, born 1833 and married William C. Stamps, May 24, 1849 in Bourbon County, KY. The Lexington Recorder (I am quoting that from memory) stated that she was the daughter of Jacob Keller. She also appears on the census of 1870 with her father and her 3 children. also on the census of 1850, it shows that Abraham (son of Jacob) was idiotic. Mary E. Simpson, wife of John C. remarried Pleasant Lilly (she is on the 1880 cneus, Harrison Co. and her sons, James P. and Jacob are still with her. She died (have her obit) her in Kaufman Co. September 07, 1892.
Mary E. and John C. Keller had 5 children; Joseph H. born November 02, 1853, died October 25, 1913, second husband of Maggie B. Lail; John W. Keller born ca 1856, lived in New York; Lula, 1859, nothing else known; James P. "Jim" Keller, born April 12, 1861 in Bourbon Co.KY, died April 6, 1900 in Kaufman, Kaufman Co. TX and first husband of Maggie B. Lail; and Jacob Keller "Jake" born ca 1867 and married Mary S. "Molly" Ridgell on April 20, 1885 in Kaufman County, Texas. I have the documentation of these if you so desire. Jean Ann
