These are the papers I have
transcribed of John Todd Sr. I am the 7th great granddaughter of
John Todd Senior. All the information gathered to date is scattered, but the
work goes on, with the hopes that I or someone just might come across the
correct entry to solve the problem of who are the parents of John Todd Sr. of
Bourbon Co. KY, any help greatly appreciated.
I would be grateful if you would
post these to Bourbon Co.Ky>website.
Thank you
Lorraine Llewellyn
The Will and Settlement papers of John Todd Sr. were
transcribed to the best of my knowledge to be accurate, where there is a doubt
to the spelling it will be marked with a “?” mark, George Llewellyn
proof read. More work remains to
be done finding the Todd Wills, dates 1856 to 1996, the year of death of my
grandmother Frances Leota Todd of Louisiana, Pike Co. Missouri. For more information on the other
descendants of John Todd Sr. contact me at glewelyn@leblink.com

Notes:
E. Todd is Edward Todd – Bourbon Co. KY., March Court 1805, John Todd Sr. appointed guardian to Edward Todd, Jane Todd, Polly Todd. To attend to division of tract of Edward Todd, located on Silas Creek.
Settlement of Edward Todd property in Madison Co. KY.
States that "He John Todd Sr. "died this day --- and in the month of --- of the year of our Lord 1860". But this is not possible as his son John Todd Jr. is his heir and John Todd Sr. died 1809. This is the settlement of Edward Todd property for his children. There is mention in John Todd Sr. Estate Settlement of payment to the Edward Todd Estate. At this time we have not been able to locate other records for Edward Todd and Family. Is it possible that this is Edward Todd Jr. who has died in 1860?
What was the suit that Levin brought against his fathers Estate?
N. Frakes mentioned here is believed to be “Nathan” Frakes
Benj. Todd Sr. is the Benjamin Todd Sr. of Logan Co. KY. And it is believed that these two John Todd Sr. and Benjamin Todd Sr. were brothers or at the very least cousins, as Benjamin stated that he had stayed with John upon coming to Kentucky in about 1800.
It is my belief that Robert Trimble is the one and same person who married John Todd Jr. daughter Ruth Todd, not to be confused with “Rutha” Todd dau. of John Sr. who married Gabriel Greathouse.
