Need to Archive Older Good Topics

We'll need to do some quick archiving, then I need to set several forums to automatically delete older topics at some point (like 2 months).

One way you can temporarily "save" them is to make a post to the topic "I would like for this topic to be considered for Archiving."

That will reactivate it, bring it to our attention & avoid the "pruning".

Anyone that is interested in helping may do this for me & Mario to take a look at your favorite topics.

If you have any suggestions for what date to start deleting older/"dead" posts for specific forums, I would appreciate it. You may post that discussion here.

Thanks,

Jon

P.S. I may start "protecting" some forums by forcing a log in, in order to shield them from the spam-bots.

Just a thought for your consideration:
I don't know how many archival posts you are looking at, but instead of having a cut off date, maybe you could set a certain number of posts and when that number is reached, any that would go over that number would automatically be deleted.
Don't know if this would work, just a suggestion. Don

Thanks Don. Yeah, it's something like that.
